Sun, 21 October 2007 On October 13, 2007, several members of the Tucson Ron Paul Meetup went to Tempe to meet with other supporters from all over Arizona and march for Ron Paul. It was an absolute blast! There was no way to walk away from that day without feeling simultaneously exhausted and energized. Have you marched for Ron Paul yet? If so, call in and tell us about your experience. Steve Dore's music is at www.ronpaulsongs.com Burn your own Ron Paul video dvd's: www.ronpauldvd.com To cast an interesting "light" on Ron Paul's candidacy, check out Paul Levinson's blog and podcast at lightonlightthrough.com A Foreign Policy of Freedom by Ron Paul The contest starts as of this posting! Friday there were 15 members of my meetup group waving signs at one
of the busiest intersections in Tucson. It was a blast! You will hear
some interviews from that day. There will be a little traffic noise
and the occasional honk from a supportive driver. I learned while
putting this show together that if you take the traffic noise out, it
leaves the speaker's voice distorted and unintelligible. I'll try to
gather any future interviews in quieter locations.
I was going to edit out all the conversation in between, but I couldn't bring myself to do it. It might encourage some of you to get out and participate in a sign wave. We had so much fun and it really shines through in the audio. I also left in Drew's mention of me because he'll be mad at me if I don't. I
mention the Tax Free Tips Act during the intro. I forgot to give
credit where it's due. I read about the flier and the idea of taking
it to restaurants in a post on the Daily Paul web forums. I thought
it was a brilliant idea and wanted to share it with you. Here's where
you can find a copy of the Tax Free Tips Act Flier. I
want to encourage everyone to call in and have fun with your message! I'd love
to hear some women's voices on the next podcast. There are many ways to get your voice out there: This show ends with another great song from Steve Dore called House Call. Thanks Steve! Diane Comments[0] |
Wed, 3 October 2007 I am definitely on a steep learning curve with editing audio files, but I'm sure it will get faster (and easier on your ears) as I get more experienced.I'm very excited to tell you that I'm going to be playing music by Steve Dore at the end of each show. He has written several amazing songs about Ron Paul. I think you'll enjoy them. He also has an excellent website. You can find his songs at RonPaulSongs.com. Thanks to everyone who called in and provided their audio for this show. Show Notes: Alden (Mesa, AZ) - Let's Get Clear Jake (Chandler, AZ) Matt (Tucson, AZ) John (Tucson, AZ) James (Tucson, AZ) - Newt Gingrich Article Brian (Upland, CA) - Aaron Russo's film, America: Freedom to Fascism I would like to give credit for the intro music I have been using. The song title is Liberta by the group 2012. It was purchased from the PodShow Podsafe Music Network. I'd be happy to send your voice out to the waiting world. Just call 206-339-6398 or use the bright red recorder up there in the top right corner. If you don't have a built-in microphone on your computer, you can plug any mic into the mic jack and that will work fine. How about we have six gals on the next show? Comments[0] |
Thu, 27 September 2007 I'm leaving tomorrow (wait, I mean today) for the Podcast and New Media Expo in Ontario, California. I'm very excited about it because I will actually have a podcast to promote while I'm there. While I'm at it, I'll be promoting Ron Paul. Just by accident... wink, wink. This will be a great place to tell people that Ron Paul wants to keep the government's hands off the internet. Podcasters and bloggers should be naturals for Ron Paul. They are very independent, freedom-minded people. I've registered the podcast at iTunes and Podcast Alley, if you have an mp3 player and want to subscribe to my feed, you can do it there. Actually iTunes may take a couple of days, but it should be accessible on Podcast Alley. Wed, 26 September 2007 Well, folks here it is. The first Ron Paul Fancast. Of course, I'm the only one on it, but that will change soon. I'm also hoping that the sound quality will be better next time. I'm going to change to a different microphone and hopefully that will fix the problem. Here are links for things mentioned in the podcast: Free State Project Video clip of Ron Paul's Speech at Liberty Forum There's some text comments and music added to the beginning and end of the clip that I don't believe are quotes from Ron Paul. Free Talk Live Free Talk Live has also interviewed Dr. Paul and you can find the archive of that interview on their site. These links are all related to how I discovered Ron Paul. If you have any comments or questions about the show, please email me at rpfancast@gmail.com. I hope you'll all call in and tell your Ron Paul story. The number is 206-339-6398. Thanks for listening! Okay, Ron Paul fans, here's your chance to tell the world why you are...well, a Ron Paul fan! We all know that the mainstream media
has been ignoring Dr. Paul as much as they can. What they
don't know is that they are slowly becoming obsolete. The new media, such as websites,
blogs and podcasts are increasingly taking over the distribution of news and
information to the world. Take a couple of minutes and call
this number: 206-339-6398
Most of all, have fun! Category: general -- posted at: 2:00 PM Comments[1] |
